Madrid, March 2019
This tall mural is the work of Serbian street artist, Artez, who is based in Belgrade but travels the world. His murals combine photo-realism and illustration, and usually feature people, strong colours, and are related to the surroundings.

His Madrid mural , featured here, aims to create a contrast with the pedestrian shopping street over which it hangs. Instead of carrying shopping bags, the girl clutches a pile of books, topped with some elements of nature to stand out against the built up city centre.

I like this one! Have you ever seen any of his work in London, Debbie?

I’m afraid not, and having flicked through his Facebook he doesn’t seem to have done any work here. Vienna, Budapest, Istanbul, Cairo, … and plenty in Croatia and Serbia
