Dockey Wood is wonderfully cared for by the National Trust, and is simply a bluebell heaven in late April / early May.

I have not seen bluebells — I have only read about them in stories and poems. This looks like a “fairy meadow”! Thank you for sharing.

I hadn’t realised that they are very much a north European flower. They make the perfect reason to visit UK IN May

Love the play on words here – wow, didn’t know blue could be so intense! Many thanks for capturing it for us at All Seasons! Have a happy week:)

Ooooh, the colors! To find the combination of greens and purple like that to wear. 🙂

You’ve brought such a smile to my Monday morning Debbie.
I used to live in Berkhamsted, and cycled / walked through Ashridge Forest. The bluebells were a totally magical sight for an Antipodean. I gather they have become a tourist attraction — which makes me realise how long ago was that part of my life.

A lovely place. I got my now-departed dog from a home near Berkhamsted, had photos exhibited in a small gallery there, and I love Ashridge. It’s great for a wander at any time of year but the bluebells are amazing – a lot more of them tomorrow!

We loved it too, staying there longer than anywhere else while we were in the UK.
