This tiny triangular island sits between Rio de la Tetta and Rio di San Giovanni Laterano, and is the smallest in central Venice. You get a great view of it from Ponte dei Conzafelzi (and it’s close to my favourite bookshop, Acqua Alta)

Reminds me of some of the ‘islands’ (land based, but bordered by streets and avenues on all sides, in Manhattan. Like the Iron building on 23rd street, where Broadway and 5th Ave cross. 🙂
This particular building looks a bit sodden and a bit desperate around the gills … with the bottom floor ‘windows’ already full sealed and the floor above it boarded up … Sad and quirky and probably ‘landmarked’ (funny thing to say about anything in Venice! …)
