Summer in the city of oranges

Orange trees at La Lonja, Valencia, July 2019

The oranges really make their grand show across Valencia in the winter, with their main season running November to March. But I still spied a few orange trees around, and theones shown here were enjoying the courtyard of La Lonja in the centre of the city.

  1. Courtyards … that’s what I miss on this side of the pond! Especially with the well known Valencia oranges! They give such a homey feel to town/city! Many thanks for sharing this detail of summer with us at All Seasons. Guess it was not too long ago then you were in Spain (lucky, lucky you – even if you had to work there!)
