Moldova may not get many tourists visiting, but this small landlocked country has plenty of sights for us to see and enjoy. About 50 km north of the capital, you’ll find Orheiul Vechi, Old Orhei.  This historical and archaeological complex gives glorious views across the countryside, as well as the beautiful monastery for which it is known.

It is a flat country on the whole, but Old Orhei is positioned on a bend of the Raut River and has a few high points that provide views.

If the views aren’t enough to bring you here, the monastery will be.
