October brought us another great square challenge from Becky. The month’s topic gave us all the chance to be as literal or imaginative as we wanted.
The days flew by, and it now seems strange not to be posting and viewing lines and squares. What is more, I missed a day of the challenge, so now I’m going to feed my withdrawal symptoms with a square to make up for that omission; plus a quick look back at the rest of my lined squares.
The mural below shows how creative lines can be. Sten and Lex specialise in this use of thin and thick, black and white, to give us art on the streets. From a distance the image looks clear and solid, but up close the human eye sees lines more than image.
The camera, however, still sees the image clearly. The image below was taken close to the mural, when my eyes were somewhat confused.

Look back over the month:
Square fun is over for a while – roll on January!

All great photos, but the featured street art is astonishing.

It’s a very clever technique. And each piece is unique as they cut the bits out on site.
