Canary Wharf, London, January 2020
A sad evening for many of us. Whilst this shot of ticking clocks is from London, I’m not there. I chose to be in Europe for this grim departure from Europe. I’ve enjoyed my evening so far, with Spanish food, French wine and German company in a Dutch bar.

Crazy huh? Glad you are making the most out of a difficult situation.

Still don’t understand that with all the Iies, mis information and pure bigotry we reached this point…. A sad day. Just hope that those in power can act in a more professional manner to secure a positive future for the UK…. And far from unifying a country I fear more division is ahead.

My Beloved Sandra and I will be visiting our (sane) northern neighbors in Canada today. Don’t think for one moment we haven’t considered relocation…

Our North Yorkshire for Europe group held a party for local EU citizens. We had s minute’s silence at 11.00 followed by Ode to Joy and many tears.

A huge time of transition and one that sounds like a time of mourning for you and some others. Your meal seems delicious and like a celebration of the richness that blending nationalities and cultures can bring. Wishing you ease on your return to the UK.

Sounds good to me, Debs. Could I join you with a drop of port? Red or white- the choice is yours. 🙂 🙂

Red at this time of night please Jo. Muit obrigada! Saude! (Is that what you say? I can’t remember saying cheers in Portuguese)

Saude will do fine, Debs. I rarely say it myself. Cheers to you! 🙂 🙂

Not to be politically inclined…I just hope everything turns out for the better. My son is in UK so I am hoping for the best for everybody!

Well done, Debbie….were I fitter and healthier I would be somewhere in Europe too. I’m sick of the jubilant misguided Brexiteers.

It is painful. I keep switching on the tv on my room by mistake and it is depressing.

Good for you. Wish I could be with you and escape the ‘celebrations’ in the UK. Even in my small part of the world, one section of the town is having a firework display later on. I hope it’s only a few but ……..
