Puddles and pools

The old Lido at Margate, Kent, January 2020

The Lido at Margate was a popular seafront venue from the 1920s, designed by John Henry Iles, the man also responsible for Dreamland. This fairground that been revived in the last few years but, in contrast, the Lido pool was closed in the 1980s and is now filled with sand. The buildings still stand and there are attempts in place to revive the complex. In the meantime, however, I had to rely on puddles for my reflections.
