Forty nine eyes

Giant mural by Blu, Rome, image taken October 2019

In Rome, Italian street artist Blu converted 48 windows of Porto Fuviale, an old military warehouse dating back to 1910, into 27 giant faces.

He completed this in late 2014, and its colours have faded a bit since then. To see full view of it in all its brightness, click here

  1. That’s one really imaginative artist whose work you have found. Seeing “eyes” in those windows is really neat.

    • I only made it last year! And you’re ahead of me with Florence.
Really worth it – needless to say – and there is a great mix of ancient and modern which I hadn’t really expected
