When going out comes indoors

National Theatre, London (their online shows start tonight!)

Many theatres, museums, galleries, concert halls, festivals, musicians, photographers, chefs, ….., I could go on, are bringing their offerings to us. We can see live shows being recorded and fed to us on itv, facebook, instagram, YouTube, etc.

Here are just a few to get you started, and I’m setting up a page that I’ll add to and keep up-to-date (but it’s stuck with a WordPress problem at the moment!)

National Theatre, London – online on Thursday evenings at 19:00 BST (then on demand for 7 days), starting with One Man, Two Guvnors on 2 April

The London Symphony Orchestra is taking its concerts online – every Thursday & Sunday, a performance will be streamed through the LSO Youtube channel.

The Montreux jazz festival has made more than 50 festival concerts available to stream for free, including Ray Charles,Nina Simone, Deep Purple and Carlos Santana. You can access them for free for 30 days, here with code FREEMJF1M.

Photpills are running a masterclass and Q&A on 2 April.

Benrido Collotype Atelier are running a live studio tour on Instagram on 3 April

London’s Borough Market is streaming live cookery demonstrations every weekday at 1pm – a top chef will guide you through a tasty recipe using store cupboard staples.

Enjoy!
