That is life in the Alfama. This is their garden, their workspace, their business. A great place to wander if you don’t mind steep hills, but I’d find it hard to live there.

Mmmm. I don’t think I want to be eating underneath that washing line no matter how good the food. Nice image though.

Oh yes, a real Sue spot. On my last trip I booked an evening photography walk in the Alfama – which was great as I just get lost in those streets
