Inside a phonebox in Smithfield Market, London, March 2021

Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally – tweet, instagram, flickr, etc. with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS.

Went literal and looked for boxes. Love those old red phoneboxes, I think there’s still one in front of the British Museum!

Yes, most are still there, just not necessarily acting as a phone box. A lot now house defibrillators

Defibrillators in phone booths is a good alternative use!

One thing is for sure, I’ve never been inside a British telephone box before. Wonderful photos and idea. 😀
Here is mine, I just had to do a play on box as well.

I like the red ones and the blue ones. 😉 Conversations were more private in the red ones than they are now. My shot is about another small enclosure, a bee hotel: https://fakeflamenco.com/2021/03/20/frank-lloyd-wrights-the-bees-knees/

And it looks as though it actually works! I love that. Now hop inside and let’s head over to the Phoenix Desert Botanical Gardens for a rather large piece of art:

I prefer the blue ones to the red ones. The blue ones are bigger on the inside.
Your photos look very nostalgic.

Where is the time that there where phone boxes in the streets….

There certainly aren’t many operational ones these days. Many are available for conversion.

Clever 6 words about something that is rapidly disappearing. I kept mine simple now enough snow has thawed for proper walks around the neighborhood:

Those phone boxes tend to be rather smelly these days – unless they’re community book exchanges. Here’s mine today: https://margaret21.com/2021/03/20/of-black-white-colour-and-flight/

I didn’t notice a smell for this one but then I only stuck the camera inside. Through a broken pane 😒

I don´t think there are any phone boxes left in my area. I´ve seen a couple still standing that substitute for book swapping stands.

I like the book ones. There a still a lot of them in London and this one is part of a row of them in Smithfield Market.
