Not my normal daily walk.
I had a long wait for a train connection at Birmingham New Street last week, so took a stroll around the nearby streets of a very quiet and locked down Birmingham.

That really is deserted, Debbie. It’s almost shockingly empty. Thanks for the walk 🙂

Excellent. Unfortunate it takes a pandemic to clear the streets.

Yes, I’ve been using train into London occasionally as they are so empty. Birmingham was more of an adventure, but had to be done. Fortunately still quite empty and the staff did a good job of enforcing masks and keeping people well spaced.

There’s something to be said for being able to walk through a big city without tons of traffic and noise! Kind of eerie though. Interesting and very different response this week Debbie, thanks!

Yes, it did feel weird. That bit more threatening when there aren’t more people around. And a huge gun crime sign doesn’t help either!

Thank you for your images of these lonely looking streets.

And you will have heard my son-in-law do the station announcements!

I hadn’t thought of that. I assume that must be nice to hear now, a few years on
