Mural by Dan Kitchener, Hartland Road, Camden, London, May 2021
This is the current (as of May 2021) Dan Kitchener work in one of his regular spots, just off Chalk Farm Road in Camden. He painted this one in July 2018, and then tidied and updated it with a extra colour and details in Feb 2020.

So Hong Kong, right down to the “Lan Kwai Fong” street sign.

Indeed! The street sign is actually the name of the restaurant that this is painted on, so perfect match

Ah! I wondered whether the street sign was more significant. Now I wonder if the mural was inspired by the restaurant.

I assume he has the restaurant in mind but much of his work is like this. He has created murals in Hong along too

I lived in HK for 3 years in the late 80s but have no recollection of street art at all. I have been back through the years but never noticed wither. It would be fun to go back to visit and look again.

I first visited in the late 80s. Perhaps we passed on the streets 😀 I loved getting back there a couple of years ago. Hard to recognise some areas as they had changed so much. Plenty of great street art 😀

Love Camden. I am always drawn to images of umbrellas for some reason.

I didn’t know Dan Kitchener was to be found in Camden…..

He’s all over these days. I don’t often walk through Camden (daft when it’s so close to Kings Cross) but the side of this restaurant is a regular spot for him.

It’s threatening! But yesterday was quite pleasant – I sat in a bar in Camden with Inka and wandered the streets, very slowly.

Poor little Inka, you’ll wear him out!

Ooh for a moment I thought this was real and that you’d done something clever in editing. What a great mural

An artist I always enjoy discovering. And he never seems to pause.

Extraordinary.
Must have an excellent sponsor or negotiate great contracts as paint costs must mount up if that prolific
