Arnold Bennett meets Inka in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, June 2021
To see Arnold without his new admirer, click here.
Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally – tweet, instagram, flickr, etc. with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS.

I had to look Arnold up, I had never heard of him. The book titles don’t ring a bell either.
Decided on a classic six words this week.

He was a very prolific writer, and wrote for cinema too. People forgot about him after his death, but he has been revived by praise from more recent authors and is now being read again.

I will look for his books then.

I think Inka is ready to move on….Arnold refuses to pet him!

I think he needs to read some of Arnold’s novels to get the respect! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Hee hee, the dog looked like part of the scultpure the first time I glanced at the photo! Cute. https://fakeflamenco.com/2021/06/12/flower-of-the-day-feverfew-daisy/

Hi Debbie
Inka and Arnold make a fetching pair, great photo!
Your 6WS and OWS challenges are so creative. I don’t often have a chance to participate, and didn’t keep to the word limit within the entire post today but at least the title is exactly six. Thanks for your interesting and creative work!
Best, Babsje

Inka looks less than impressed. I seem to recognise the modernish building on the left side of the frame but it’s got to be 25 years since I was last in Hanley:
I went with a thunderstorm last Sunday morning for my 6 words:

Inka must’ve practiced this look. 🥺
I’m with Maria, though, I haven’t heard from this author. Which doesn’t prevent me from enjoying his statue.
I’ve also gone the literary way, with an almost booktitle: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2021/06/12/the-curious-case-of-lederhosen-buttons/

He’s already becoming quite well-travelled. Inka, I mean, of course
