Bright is the earth where the dark shadows lie,
Cast by the beams of a glittering sky.
Praise for the shadows when earth days are done;
For the darker the shadows, the brighter the sun.

I’m enjoying your foray into poetry, Debbie, and I love the lines of this shot. “Dark Shadows” makes me smile as many years ago there was a soap opera with that title. We didn’t have a TV but I saw some episodes and it was a blast. Nothing like a good vampire–the kind that sleeps during the day as it should not gallivanting about and shimmering and other non-vampire behavior that seems to happen these days, although I don’t really follow that sort of book or movie.

I am going to be looking for the shadows today as I walk into town for an appointment

It’s a good one to focus on, but easy forget. I think I might make that a focus for this afternoon’s walk. I’ve been looking for shadows to hide in but there’s a breeze today so maybe I can think photo instead 🙂

oh how fabulous 🙂 I am envy your ability to disappear at a moment’s notice. MrB has never really been up for sudden trips so my spur of the moment episodes are rare these days
