What a lovely picture. I wish I was one of those people on the bench.

Quite a few weeks ago – I must have just been in for a wander / dog walk.

Greetings and Salutations! I like this street photograph very much. There are four people in the image plus the church plus the water and the blue sky. I keep looking at the son and the mother who look like they are enjoying each other’s company so much. I would be the person sitting on the stoop. The person wearing a dark colored jacket makes my eye move to the bridge and over to St. Paul’s. Plus the son has a dark colored jacket on also. So there is a balance for the eye to see. Story line is already there for the viewer to claim what the story line is. Perfectly, done!

I’m glad you enjoyed it so much.
I was pleased to have something interesting to put in the foreground, and then the story kindly spins around in a nice circle 🙂

I have a very similar version from 1981 so a lot of changes apart from the dome of St Paul’s

Thanks goodness for St Paul’s – great to have something that sets the scene for everyone.
And yes, everything else around has either popped up relatively recently, or been redesigned / renovated.
