It’s not just washing that goes out on lines, it’s rubbish too.

This is so creative. I’d often wondered what it is like to live in these small spaces. Too bad about the plastic problem but it strikes me a very ingenious.

A great idea for small town living, and makes for curious photos too.

Yes, I think it was my first time shooting bags of rubbish

One of the things that spoils Mediterranean villages and towns, the plastic bags of rubbish and the overflowing bins in communal centres. I know rubbish has to be collected but I do wish they had a better way of coping with it! How lovely your pictures would have been without the disfigurement of the plastic.

They were being collected as I wandered, and all had gone when I got back after breakfast. The use of plastic bags has its issues, but at least it meant that all was left later was a hook, not an ugly rubbish bin.

That’s a classic Debbie 🙂 🙂

Hope it is recycling! A clever idea. Beats carrying rubbish down to ground level, I could have done with that technique when I lived in a second floor flat!

I’m not sure about the recycling bit. They certainly had plenty of recycling bins around. But they were still using far too much plastic – like plastic straws 😦

Looked like lots of cans in the bags. A shame about the plastic.

Looks like recycling rubbish to me.

Good idea. I don’ know if urban foxes are a thing there, but it would work well in London, that system.

Yes, I was thinking that.
I suspect that here in Scicli it is just to make life easy for those living in apartments – they just lower the rubbish down from their balcony.

ooh you’d need to be confident no holes in the outer bag wouldn’t you!

Yes, it was definitely rubbish morning when I was out for my early wander and I was glad not to have any land on my head!

Hope they shout before they launch them over the balcony or out the window!
