On a very hot day, the walk from the new town to this cathedral in the old town was tiring, and the heights sent me wobbly a few times, but I was so glad I got to this square and its beautiful cathedral. The only remaining problem was an even more tiring walk back up the hill to the new town and the train station.

Wobbly legs? Ah yes! I remember them well in Ragusa.

Heights do that to me – especially when climbing up and I’m worrying about coming down!

wow definitely was worth it – I am so glad you are not in Sicily this week though. The floods are terrible there

I hadn’t heard about them – I don’t watch much news as it’s all too depressing.
But I’ve just had a look and Catania has suffered badly – places I wandered are under water.
Rachel is still out there but in Palermo and she didn’t get the rain she had been expecting. Thankfully.

Don’t blame you avoiding the news. Glad Rachel is okay where she is, but awful about Catania. Not a good way for the autumn/winter to begin 😕

Indeed – I might have been looking to my Spiderman to help me escape and it looks like there will be a lot of cleaning required.

Just awful for them, and from what I have just read more is come in the next couple of days 😦

No doubt about it. You’ve sold Sicily to me, well and truly, Debs.

Oh yes, you’d love it, Jo.
And I’ve only been to a tiny part of it – so much more to see…
