Love, love love her! What a fun statue! She’s taking my heart up with her. 🙂

Leicester Square now has a few statues of film stars, and this is one of my favourites

What a fun place. I should add that to my dream vacations bucket list. Mom and I visited London in 1992 with the San Joaquin Valley Writing Project through Fresno State University. It was an amazing 3 weeks of touring, attending so many plays I lost count and 2 days of class observation and instruction on schools in England. So cool.

Sounds a wonderful trip. You really need to come back – all the history is still here of course, but there is so much new too. I never tire of London

I can’t imagine getting tired of London. We both wanted to stay! When I got back to LAX, it seemed so small, LOL!

She’s taken off! Nice variation on singing in the rain.

Yes, I don’t know that I saw it quite like that when I was taking the shot, but I love her attempt to keep the public dry.

Mary Poppins brought the “rooftops of London” to many here in the US when we were children. Always loved her accent
