  1. Great post and so many beautiful photos! I had a chance to visit Edinburgh in November and despite the rainy weather I hopped on the train and went for a day trip to North Queensferry to see the world famous bridge. I was in awe 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 thanks for sharing and have a good day ☺️ Aiva

    • I think structures like these have likenesses to animal structures, to help them carry the weight. Gaudi likened many of his structures to animals. And a famous scientist likened this bridge to a bison skeleton – so your eye is doing very well, Janet

  2. I’ve been across it a few times, but not recently – back in the 70’s when I was in the Navy. I can still remember it quite vividly though. Really impressive construction
