Travel with Intent 
Great post and so many beautiful photos! I had a chance to visit Edinburgh in November and despite the rainy weather I hopped on the train and went for a day trip to North Queensferry to see the world famous bridge. I was in awe 🏴 thanks for sharing and have a good day ☺️ Aiva

It certainly is, especially given its age. It’s older than us!!! It was opened in 1890

What cool shapes! Makes me think of some sort of creature, maybe an insect of some kind.

I think structures like these have likenesses to animal structures, to help them carry the weight. Gaudi likened many of his structures to animals. And a famous scientist likened this bridge to a bison skeleton – so your eye is doing very well, Janet

Yes, it definitely has an extra glow in golden hour and often presents a great reflection in the water too

I’ve been across it a few times, but not recently – back in the 70’s when I was in the Navy. I can still remember it quite vividly though. Really impressive construction

Yes, it always looks the same. I love going across it and then walking back across the road bridge, enjoying the view of the rail bridge beside me
