Interesting find.
Why umbrella was left like that … a million dollar question.

Looks like ping is not working. Better to paste the URL

Yes, URL is faster as long as not blocked as spam. The pingback has to be approved by me.
Popping over to see you very soon 🙂

I thought I’d join in this week since I had a great ‘Lost’ photo from a beach day.
Thanks for hosting, Debbie. I think the item in the photo might be needed once
the rainy season arrives. Nicely photographed.

Perhaps it broke in the wind and someone dumped it rather than taking it home.

Anything lost is to be pitied, except for the things we want to lose. Here’s a dog that seemed lost. Have a lovely week!

A happy ending to your lost story, Jesh. And a very enjoyable post it was.

I wonder how it got lost in the first place … I mean, I can understand forgetting an umbrella in a café or at the doctors but in the middle of the forest? Did it slip out of a bag? Was it used in fending of an attacker? Was it left on purpose for a rainy day and another person? 🤔 And it also took me a while to actually see it and not a strange hydrant or something similar on the ground instead of hanging from a branch.

I assume fell out of a bag, but use in a fencing tournament has some appeal for the imagination. This is from a while ago so I don’t remember the exact weather, but I suspect it was much needed in its weather protection role

I like the fencing idea. Duel at dawn. Weapon of choice: telescopic umbrella!

Like a giant tree ornament 🙂

I hadn’t thought of that – would be an unusual way to decorate a Christmas tree 🙂

Nice of someone to hang it up so if the owner came looking for it, they could see it more easily. I’m glad you mentioned what it was because I wouldn’t have guessed. 🙂 See you tomorrow for mine.

Yes, it’s always nice to see people thinking of others. Hopefully the owner and the brolly were soon reunited
