I love it too – it’s an amazing setting and so often closed to the public. It is one of the reasons I like to get there for the Biennale – a great setting in its one right and even more fascinating when open to house half of the Biennale.

The light wasn’t what you would really want for outdoor photos but was great for the shady parts of the Arsenale

Yes, the middle shots have a bit more character – the columns and shadows add a bit of mystery and history
