Haha, this reminds me so much on our surprises on the roads of Eastern Europe (in the 70ties). It could be a big pothole, but mostly a herd of animals, or a tractor that moved agonizingly slow:)

I had a traffic jam like that in Western Australia with cows and a couple of cowboys on horseback. It has a certain charm.
