Women in Photography

Next Wednesday, 8 March, is International Women’s Day, and the Glasgow Gallery of Photography has chosen to coincide their Women in Photography exhibition with that global event. The exhibition itself will be on for the month of March and has its opening evening this Friday, 3 March.

I have one of my images on display so I am over the moon. I had initially planned to be there next week, but am now hoping to get there for the Friday evening event. For any of you who live in the area do pop in to see the exhibition, and if you can get there for Friday do let me know. We can say hello in person.

The Gallery also has a Landscape Photography exhibition running in March, and I have one on display in that too. March looks set to be a great month!

Both of these images were taken on my trip to Cappadocia last year, with Tim Mannakee Photography.

  1. Wonderful, and it would be so interesting to attend. New Zealand recently lost a fabulous photographer, Ans Westra, originally from the Netherlands. She created an in-depth social history of the Maori people and others; her photography is priceless.
