Foggy morning at Berlin’s Fernsehturm, Germany, December 2024
Welcome to One Word Sunday. This week our theme is square. I thought some of us might be missing Becky’s January square challenge so here is your opportunity for a spot of therapy, a hair of the dog almost. Feel free to use the prompt as you will – a square crop, an image of a square or something more colloquial like a square person. I’m looking forward to some interesting takes on this.
To join the challenge, please use pingback by putting a link in your post to the URL of this post, allowing others to have the opportunity to visit and join the challenge. Then come back here and leave us a comment.
If you have any problems with linking via pingback, just add your own URL into your comment.
It also helps us find you in the WordPress Reader, if you use the tags OWS and OneWordSunday. And do feel free to socialise digitally with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS. You’ll find me on Instagram @travel_travel_with_intent and @dsmythphoto
Thanks to everyone who shared some space last week.
Special thanks go to David for a wonderful aurora borealis and to Sandy for such calming open space.

The Berlin Fernsehturm is anything but square … but I see your point. Too grey for me this morning: https://picturesimperfectblog.com/2025/02/02/fiery-winterlights/

Yes, it definitely has long and thin geometry. But I went for the easy option of a square crop.
Your bright shots definitely beat mine on colour and cheerfulness. Have a great Sunday, Elke

I’m glad it inspired. And your colours brighten our Sunday morning much more than my greys 🙂

thanks, Becky
it reminds me of Masahisa Fukase’s “Solitude of ravens” series. Though more cheerful.

thanks, Janet. I was worried people would find it too grey and scary. Hints of The Birds
