A pumpkin by Yayoi Kusama, at the ferry port on Naoshima, Japan, May 2024
Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS. You’ll find me on Instagram @travel_travel_with_intent and @dsmythphoto

I’ve been merrily double-dipping, saving a bit of time as well as brain power 😉

So it seems a significant proportion of us are double dipping today – what are we all like!

We might describe it as economical 😉 Much better than calling it lazy 😉
Your topic of red is a great one to double-dip with

No, DEATH is definitely a loveable character. He does not do any killing if that’s what you expect. He is only THERE (and sends the souls or whatever on their way – their way being whatever they believed). He cannot help the way he looks, he is, after all, an anthropomorphic being. If more people imagine him fat and funny, he’ll be fat and funny (and able to smirk, I guess).

I don’t know about that, a fruity meringue is a great opportunity.
I’m hopeless at food photography, as I’ve usually eaten it before I think to press the shutter

I always enjoy her work, and it was great to see this the one the moment I stepped off the ferry.

That is just adorable! It reminds me of Yellow Submarine, probably because of the stem looking like a periscope.

I see what you mean – turning into a pumpkin you can enter and burying have off the pumpkin shape below ground has given a real submarine feel to it. Quite appropriate at the ferry port
