St Pancras Station stretching above the British Library, London, April 2025
Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS. You’ll find me on Instagram @travel_travel_with_intent and @dsmythphoto

Marvelous angle, Debbie. Quite in-spired. Mine is more rocky. https://fakeflamenco.com/2025/07/26/vasquez-rocks-kirk-versus-the-gorn/

I was tempted to find some spires … nothing as nice as St Pancras, especially not in connection with a library, could be found. So I settled for an owl: https://picturesimperfectblog.com/2025/07/26/librarys-wise-old-owl-standing-still/

I was thinking “wise”as soon as you said owl, and I see it’s in your title – heading over to explore

It’s the title or name of that particular owl. In 2015, when I was there, they had owls all over the city all painted. differently.

Oh, I missed that! Usually it’s painted cows but owls sound a good alternative.

It’s called “The Big Hoot” but I could not find any particular connection between Birmingham and owls.

Yes, two fine buildings in very different styles. I love wandering around the library, attended lessons in Swahili there, and I often pop in to explore their bookshop.

Well, Swahili lessons sounds an excellent reason for visiting. I normally do the other two things on your list.

They dont build railway stations like that anymore, over the top style. Here is my link for 6WS…. just a little older. :- https://davidoakes-images.com/2025/07/26/6ws-6-word-saturday-challenge-57/

Indeed. I’m struggling to think of an impressive modern one. The closest I can think of is Rotterdam.

I will have to google Rotterdam 😃
