Post box topper celebrating St Patrick’s day, St Albans, March 2026

And a celebratory croissant at Proto Artisan Bakery:

Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS. You’ll find me on Instagram @travel_travel_with_intent and @dsmythphoto

I’m late today because I was out and about with friends, dressed in green, celebrating St Paddy’s a bit early by hiking up a steep mountain (and falling it down again). Here it is: https://picturesimperfectblog.com/2026/03/14/why-wait-celebrating-in-green-today/

Ha ha! Was there some Guinness before the falling down bit?

I love the post box, but that croissant looks altogether too much of a good thing.

Yes, the croissant was definitely too much. I enjoy a plain croissant myself and the thought of Baileys inside made me feel a bit wobbly!

It is an amazing bakery that always has a long queue outside on a Saturday morning. But that croissant is way over the top for my taste. Perfect for a photo though 😄

Wow, that is one inspired St. Patrick’s yarn bombing. It has it all, leprechauns, pot o’ gold, lucky clover and a Guinness! My 6 are about our recent snow: https://fakeflamenco.com/2026/03/14/is-it-styrofoam-or-real-snow/

And packets of Tayto crisps. And the two signs are for the pubs in town that pull the best Guinness.
