You can visit Kew with delight at any time of the year (and you can visit at a bargain right now, as entry is only £9.50 until the end of January 2015). If you get a bright day, grab a bench and rest a while before you wander the grounds.
Then rest some more.
If you’re there in winter and it all gets a bit too chilly, you can hide away in a glass house till the blood flows again! And if orchids are your thing make a note to visit on or after 7 February this year, as that’s the opening day of the annual, stunning Orchid Festival.

That lady has the right idea, what a lovely place to sit.

I’m afraid I’ll have to visit through through photos, rather than in person! 😉

It looks so serene to sit there in the winter sun and read. This image would also make a good entry for the WP weekly photo challenge “shadows”

I think I will just sit here and do some virtual travelling with you Debbie. Way too expensive for me. 😆
You’ve definitely captured the beauty there. Thanks for sharing. 😀

I love Kew, too! When I lived in London I bought annual passes. The greenhouses in February were a reminder that not the whole world was locked in damp, chilly greyness.

It’s all go today, isn’t it, Debbie? I’m in London in a week or so but it’s just an overnighter so I doubt Kew will figure, sadly 🙂 Good shadows!

You do need a good few hours for Kew.
If you have time for a coffee, let me know!

I’m hoping to do one of the free guided walking tours, Debs, and I will be at an event at the London Bridge hotel most of the time but I’ll keep you in mind. Thanks 🙂 🙂

I love Kew! Only wish I lived closer to London so I could visit more often, but I see you have a few posts about it so I shall have a browse! The bench challenge is taking me to some of my favourite gardens 😀 and I also love your shadow!

It’s a bit of a trek for me as I live north of London. I may not make it for the orchids this year but I hope to see some of the spring displays. I’ll share!
