This Macro Monday, I’m sharing some photos of the beautiful gardens at Clare College, Cambridge. I am just sorry that I can’t do a smell-a-blog as the scents in this section of the garden were tremendous.

Founded in 1326, Clare College is the second oldest of Cambridge University’s 31 colleges. It is well known for its much-photographed bridge over the river which is the oldest of Cambridge’s current bridges and is easily recognised by the 14 stone balls that decorate it.
If you visit Cambridge in university term-time, access to the colleges is restricted, but Clare College gardens are open and well worth a visit. The gardens themselves are beautiful, and there are great views of the river and Clare college. Entrance costs only £2 so step on in and enjoy the views and the scents.

Gorgeous photography!
