The Turner Contemporary gallery in Margate, on England’s Kent coast, is currently showing an exhibition entitled “Curiosity”. Many of the shops around the old town are supporting that exhibition by showing something “curious” in their windows. A tea shop, of all places, was displaying some rather macabre wooden toys and automata. This one caught my eye and its theme seems to make it a perfect subject for black and white.
