Even if you don’t know much about skateboarding, if you live in London or visit the South Bank entertainment complex, you’ll know this skate park.
In fact, a battle between the South Bank Centre on the one hand, who wants to develop a new Festival Wing to expand the range and outreach of its cultural and community activities, and supporters of the almost forty-year-old skate park, which would have to move if the plans are brought to fruition, have brought this vibrant location into the news many times in the last year or so.
Needless to say, I’m not a skateboarder, but I do love to stand down here and watch their antics. I had some fun post-processing these photos to enhance the feeling of movement.
