I particularly like the muted colours of this painting and the care that has been taken to produce it; it is convincingly realistic.  The girl IS real, but the dog she is patting is just a picture.

Every Friday I plan to post one of my favourite photographs.  Some will have been posted on this blog already, others will be new.  I just felt that some of these get lost amongst my other posts, or may just be one picture in a long post. I wanted to be able to find them easily myself and these simple posts are also a good way for those short on time to enjoy this blog.
