K is for… Kudu

aDSC04639c

The Kudu is a large and handsome member of the antelope family, threatened by hyenas, leopard, hunting dogs and humans.  Their horns are prized in Africa as musical instruments and honey containers.

Their pride and majesty demand respect; their beautiful spiral horns and delicate white stripes invoke admiration.

I am not so keen when they appear on my plate at dinner, though, healthy low-fat meat or not!

  1. I am happy keeping the kudus in nature too…

    They have beautiful horns.

I can see that the little birdies like hanging out on their backs!

Thanks for linking to the letter “K”!

  2. hi Debbie,
I’m glad, that I’m not threatened by hyenas, leopards or hunting dogs. I’m glad that my horns are not prized in Africa as musical instruments or honey containers!
