This week, Ed has asked us to post one photo of our favourite subject. That’s difficult! I love Africa, animals and horse riding, so I chose this photo, take on horseback safari in Kenya a couple of years ago.

OMG, that’s pretty much my 2nd dream vaca, after a horseback trip across Scotland! I want to hear and see more about this!!!

Somehow I never did a full post on it. I promise I’ll do one very soon, it was fantastic! My bucket list, which I’ll also post sometime soon, has about 10 horseback trips on it!

Did you guys go fast? Did you have to take evasive action as to not become a lion’s dinner? 🙂

Some incredible gallops – long, and faster than I have ever been before (and I’ve been riding since I was 6). I even did some jumping. Horses don’t like elephants and my horse nearly took evasive action of its own, but no I didn’t have any other emergencies. Another group met buffalo and had to run for it! The ranch always knew where the lions were so we didn’t ride close to them, but we were right up close to zebra, giraffe and elephants. The absolute best way to do a safari, as long as you don’t fall off…
