-Look Up, Look Down Challenge, Week 19
Every Thursday, I publish a post containing photos taken from above or below, and invite you to join in the challenge by posting your own photos with an up or down perspective.
As next week is Christmas I’ve decided to let this challenge run for two weeks. My next challenge will appear on Thursday 2 January.
Merry Christmas everyone!
*********************************************************************************
This week I’m looking up and down at Christmas trees, with a selection of photos from my travels of the last few weeks.
Firstly, Madrid; I was there at the end of November and got to see them erecting and decorating these mighty, shiny trees. Sadly, I didn’t get to see them illuminated:
Next, the courtyard of the British Library in London:
And Somerset House’s giant tree next to the ice rink:
A variety of railway stations (hover over each photo to find its location):
Next to St Paul’s cathedral in London:
In Brussels, the pretty squares in the old town are beautifully decorated and many are bustling with Christmas market stalls and even an ice rink or two.
Finally, Barcelona is not to be outdone, with trees and lights everywhere.

I think my favourites are the Brussels photos, very twinkly. SD

Yes, they were very pretty. In fact it’s a great place to be pre-Christmas, with lots of lights and good markets (and beer and chocolate)

These are beautiful. Though I do admit to liking the traditional ones more.

Great photos! I never liked the tree at Sol, but in these photos I really do like him! Haha.

Very pretty! The red one would be my favourite if it wasn’t covered in Vodafone logos.

We have one of those big metal cone things in Toledo, and it’s horrendous. The concept is good, I think, but they’ve used too many different colours.
I’ll be on a look up, look down photo mission when I get to Lisbon in a couple of days 🙂

I liked the gold one in Puerta del Sol. Not sure abut the red one, especially as it was decorated with Vodaphone symbols. I’m looking forward to your Lisbon photos. With all those hills there should be plenty of looking up and down opportunities. Have a great time!
