I am lucky to have the 3rd top country on my doorstep and it is definitely on my list to be visited again in 2014. The Edinburgh Festival is still languishing on my bucket list and with the Commonwealth Games and Ryder Cup taking place in Scotland this summer, there are plenty of excuses to visit.
For any of you with a tinge of Scottish blood, 2014 has also been declared Scotland’s Year of Homecoming.
For a spot of inspiration:
Greyfriar’s Bobby
Views over Edinburgh
Water of Leith
Curvy Edinburgh
Where will you be g0ing in 2014?
I would love to visit Cuba! What a great list. For now, I will be a home body for a while until my little one is a bit older. =)

Personally I would add Berlin to the cities list, if you lived through any part of the Twentieth Century, there are so many of the major events that are connected with this city, that it should be on everyone’s list, if only to gain some understanding of the recent history of the world!

That’s a very good point. Having visited before and after the wall came down I would echo your thoughts. I haven’t been for years now, but I did make a mental note the other week to get back for the Christmas markets in 2014.

Antarctica…? Swimming with the penguins…??? Aw, I read a lovely book once, by an Australian woman who worked on a research base there for a season as a chef. Put me right off ever wanting to go there 😉
