Bearing in mind I had just wandered through a market and seen (but not eaten) this

I was surprised to find this very Western church right in the middle of Beijing, on Wangfujing

And even more surprised to see this bride and groom in white regalia

The church in question is St Joseph’s, a Roman Catholic church commonly known as Wangfujing Church or Dongtang (the East Cathedral).  It is an early 20th-century Romanesque Revival building that is one of four churches in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Beijing.
