I have only been to Madrid twice and on both occasions I came across various pairs of legs gone astray!
I was beginning to think it was a weird madrileño thing, but then look what I came across in Istanbul:
And if you think all this is strange, you should read this story from the British press, where a class of young children was evacuated from a swimming pool because a false leg was mistaken for a paedophile!
Postcript, summer 2014:
Yet more stray legs spotted (or should I say striped?) in Brighton:

Linked to Tagged L, ABC Wednesday and Alphabe Thursday.
P.S. Simone at Lady of the Cakes got there before me with the legs at La Latina

Those legs are so fun!
Thanks for letting us have a peek for the letter L.

I’d like a pair like those first legs, neat. Real Madrid did insure Christiano Ronaldo’s legs for £90M and happily for them they are still working well.

Someone must sell tights like that – I’ll let you know if I spot any 🙂

Are you familiar with the ZZ Top song LEGS. : She’s got legs, and she knows how to use them.
But what does one do with THESE?

OK, the mannequins I can understand (though I shall be checking with Mrs Carmichael to see if she is missing something) but what are the first two photos all about?

Beats me! I’m now on a mission to find more stray legs. If anyone fancies doing the same for torsos we may have a happy ending 🙂
