On my recent travels, I have come across a large number of coffee shops that cater for bike enthusiasts; I have featured a couple of the London ones already (Look Mum No Hands and Rapha CC).
It was no surprise, therefore, to find one such institution in The Hague.
Lola’s friendly and helpful staff served up a great cup of coffee, though I was a bit disappointed by the narrow selection of edible accompaniments.
On the cycling front, however, the services are comprehensive. There is a workshop at the back of the shop where they’ll do your repairs while you rest and imbibe. They can even custom-build a bike for you: you choose the frame, handlebars, saddle, gears, etc and they put it together. Plus there’s a cycling club that goes out twice a week.

Possibly the best coffee in the Netherlands. Great idea and atmosphere. Regards Peet

I have not been on a bike in ages! But our middle daughter likes to bike! My hubby works in downtown Denver, Colorado and there are bikes everywhere! I like this little shop you found. Lots of good things to share! Have a beautiful weekend. Hugs, Anne

That’s my kind of shop! Add a fabric section and a book section to it and I would think I was definitely in heaven. 🙂

Good on you! You must have kept fit because I think it’s your legs doing the gliding more than the bike 🙂

I really like the idea of biking everywhere. There are so many advantages, it would take an hour to list all of them.

The trouble is I don’t trust myself to cycle on roads.

What a great idea! I often see bikes parked at coffee shops so it’s probably an easy transition…
