150th Anniversary

Special 150 Events at John Lewis Oxford Street

Last week was the 150th anniversary of a much-loved British department store, John Lewis.  The stores looked rather different back in the 1860s!

They celebrated the occasion with cakes (yum!) and a variety of events and the staff dressed in period clothing.  The prices, sadly, stayed at 2014 levels.

In addition, they reproduced a number of prints from their archives, some of which are included in the attractive modern patchwork quilt below.
