Isn’t amazing how windows can give such a feel for a place. Especially if they are a little bit old or tatty. Your broken ones this week were very atmospheric.

Arches abound! I love arches of yore, adding a bit of style (and strength) to buildings of its era. I am partial to the last subject, the patina of old stone and fading paint so cool!

Yes, I think arches are more stately than square or round windows.

It reminds me of a kiddies tv programme from my childhood: Playschool. Each week they took you through a window for a special feature – it was one of the square, round or arch windows!
