Great shots and an interesting list with a good amt. of diversity. If you go to Brazil and want to see Angel Falls, you’ll probably have to fly up to Venezuela. It would take a lot of time to go by road, but it would be an adventure! If you go to Angel Falls I’d recommend spending time in Ven and doing a separate trip to Brazil. I spent a month in Venezuela and it was jam-packed. Tikal is a mystical place. Good luck!

I enjoyed skimming your list – and whew – looks like some great places too photograph – and the one I have in common is new year’s in new york – we have decided that it is something we must do at some point – even through we dread the crowds and actually prefer new york in fall. but just seems like a must experience type of thing….
oh and with your list- I have never seen the categories like that so I feel like I learned a bit with this – very cool !

now that would be cool. we though about going this year, cos it is only 6 hours from us, but just needed to stay local. but that would be way cool… so we shall see….

I haven’t been for a while and was hoping to get there this Spring, but looks too busy a year already! It’s only 7 hours for us – half way pretty much! If New Year comes off I’ll let you know 🙂

Good job you’re not attempting all of those in a year, Debbie, but there are some seriously inviting options. 🙂 Your Lublijana shot is superb.

It was a beautiful place. And although I haven’t put it on my list, I want to back and do a bit of a tour of Slovenia. There are mountains, lakes and sea, and it’s close to venice

Good luck with the list….. I think you need to live quite a long time, and/or have inexhaustible supplies of cash! And health….Angkor Wat was on my list, I was due to go last November but was ill at last minute. Because of MS, I rethought and decided I won’t get there after all :(. BTW, what is this year’s country going to be?

I probably won’t complete it. I did revise it slightly this year to make it a little more realistic. That’s a shame about Angkor Wat but there are so many closer and easier wonderful places. I haven’t decided on my country yet. Maybe Sri Lanka. Or Iceland, Estonia, Latvia or Cuba. Talk about indecisive!

Indecisive, maybe…but I am wondering where my next must go is! I can recommend Cuba. I went almost a decade ago, would love to return…maybe one day. I know there have been changes – Fidel Castro Ruz was in power when I was there – but I wouldn’t imagine it will have changed that much.

With Obama opening up US access I think it will change soon. Looks like this year will be fine, but then the influx of tourists may hit 😦
