The Paddington Bear Trail is now closed and auctioning of these pieces is under way. Why not add some sparkle to your life and bid for one?
This public art trail was certainly very popular, with young and old alike. I wandered down the Riverside Walk on New Year’s Eve and there were many groups of people out with their trail maps and cameras.
Whether you got to see any of them or not, you can now bid online to give one of them a loving home. Proceeds will go to the NSPCC and its ChildLine service, but proceeds from Paddington Jack will go to Action Medical Research for whom Paddington Bear has been the official mascot for over 35 years.
At the time of writing, current bids are running between £1500 and £7500, with just under 4 days to go (bidding closes 7 January 2015). The current bid for Goldie Bear is £2600 and for Fragile £2000.

Those bears are so adorable. but i must admit that I favour Goldie Bear. He’s so handsome.

Yes, he is rather special. There was a very nice silver one too.
