In recent months, I have featured a number of beautifully decorated shop door shutters, but I think these doors have to take the award for entrance adornment. Although Tower Bridge and big Ben aren’t that close in reality, they make a great symmetrical feature here in Plaza de Matute in Madrid.







Interesting to see Tom’s comment about the Kinks. Saw them many years ago when they opened for Emerson, Lake and Palmer in Montreal. Great quote. So much to see and think about in that top photo, and as for Big Ben, the melody is forever stuck in my mind because of one of the first piano pieces I learned 🙂
