If you are in desperate need of knowing your current weight, you are in luck if you live in Vienna.
I was really surprised to find these golden scales on the street outside the Volksgarten.
But then I came across similar on streets all over Vienna – both silver and gold.
After a few slices of sachertorte, I think I’d prefer to avoid the scales!

That is a great fence! The scale is a work of art, but I see the one at the doctor’s office too often to appreciate one on the street! 😉

Very impressive looking scales. To be admired more than used if I were around. The fence is very elegant.

I don’t like scales. Some invisible people
are always getting on there behind me
when I try to find out my weight. 😉 😀
And yes, I would avoid it also after Sachertorte 😀
And since it costs 20 cent, I’ll say it’s a
“Groschenfalle” as we say in Germany –
a cent trap 😀
Have a beautiful day

Maybe people gain or lose weight depending on the activity… lol… for example, if you habit the cafes, maybe you gain a smidge, but then you walk a few blocks to burn it off. 😉 Only way to know what you weigh is to have scales handy.

I suppose so 🙂 Still too public for me though!

It’s so funny. I was there in November last year and made several photos of it after I kept finding them everywhere. I had had my abnormal dose of Sacher cake and it felt like an accusation! Lol

Horrors! You caught me out! I was just eating a sticky bun 🙂 Not my usual occupation you understand, but it was a 2 pack. Mick ate one and I had to have the other so he didn’t have to eat a stale bun tomorrow 😦

Too kind by far. Such sacrifice 😉

Vienna’s attempt to fight against our expanding waistlines, perhaps. They do look good painted gold. #AlphabetPhoto
