X is for… X-ray Kiss

Hugh Turvey has coined the term xogram to describe his art, which is a crossover between x-rays and photography.  He says “the only difference between my x-ray images and the photograms produced by the early photographic pioneers is the frequency of the ‘light’ used to expose the ‘paper’.”

The images are shot on conventional x-ray film, then scanned and digitally coloured.  This kiss was displayed in Edinburgh as part of the Royal Photographic Society’s Light Works exhibition.

  1. Wow, that is a whole new perspective on a kiss that I prefer not to think about while actually kissing ! Wonder what the message the artist is trying to convey ? Maybe, enjoy kissing while you can ’cause before you know it, you’ll be planted in the ground or burned to ash and scattered to the wind.! LOL Coolest X treatment so far !!!
