The grey horses of the Camargue are indigenous to that region and are believed to be one of the oldest breeds of horse in the world. They live in semi-feral conditions on the marsh land of the Camargue in southern France, and are the traditional mount of the guardians who herd the black cattle of the region.
I spent last weekend in the Camargue, photographing the horses, bulls and guardians, and it is one of my photos from that short break that I have chosen to work on for this month’s One Four photo editing challenge.
For week one, I have made only a few edits: I have cropped, sharpened, lightened the exposure slightly and added a touch of clarity. I’m rather fond of this shot as it captures the fun and beauty of the weekend, so it remains to be seen what other versions I come up with.

Love this dynamic shot with all the water and action it embraces♪ http://lauriekazmierczak.com/garden-delights

Although it is a silent act, looking at an image. This image is so LOUD. Not in it’s colors or processing just in it’s loud display. I am sure that was an exhilarating experience photographing this scene and knowing when to get out of the way! Beautiful edit, looking forward to watching this photograph evolve this month.

The colour and the contrast is really beautiful and it seems delicately edited. I think with an image like this there are limited avenues to go down, too many artistic filters may push the image to far as everything is sitting just right at the moment.

Yes, you may be right. I will try to be gentle with it 🙂

Fantastic, Debbie! Lying in the water? Rather you than me, and did the camera need some attention? 😳
