This oversized Colt Python .357 Magnum revolver with a knotted barrel standing outside Malmö Central Station is a sculpture by the Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd. He created this large bronze piece, known as Non-Violence, following the murders of John Lennon and Bob Crane and the sculpture has since become the symbol of The Non-Violence Project, a nonprofit organization promoting social change with violence prevention education programs.

This is one powerful sculpture – he has his studio here in Landskrona, where I live .. he has also put a knot our over power station’s chimney. Landskrona just have a small version of this … but the council are now going to rent his left over art and place it all over the town… we have loads of fantastic public art. We are only 38000 that lives here. We are so spoiled.

Great sculpture. I’ve seen three casts of this. Nice ones in Lausanne and Goteborg, too.
